CERTIFICATE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

6 MONTHS course for KCSE certificate holders.
This course is a great opportunity for students who want a career that will equip them with knowledge and skills on computer software and hardware as well as Network systems. The course starts with Stage I (compulsory). The student proceeds to Stage II after successful completion of stage I with an aggregate of C+. In stage II they can specialize in hardware and networks, web design or Programming. After which, one can seek employment, be self employed or he/she can combine it with other careers to be competitive in the job market. it comprises of the following:

STAGE I

(3 MONTHS)
This Stage targets beginners in Information Technology. It creates a firm foundation for students studying Information and communication Technology (ICT).

STAGE II

(3 MONTHS)

A CHOICE OF 3 OPTIONS

PRE-REQUISITE: MUST have covered the Mandatory Stage I OR It’s Equivalent

OPTION 1: NETWORKING AND HARDWARE

This course will enable a student to repair maintain and assemble computers. It will equip him/her with knowledge on designing networks, skills on repairing, maintaining as well as administration of computer net works. Best for those who would like to specialize in hardware and networking systems.

OPTION 2: WEB DESIGN

    OPTION 3: PROGRAMMING
    This course will enable a student to design, write and maintain programs as well as customization. Best for those who would like to specialize in software.
