A great effort is being made to offer the youths better chances to succeed through an improved quality of training, particularly making it well connected with the reality of the labor market. To deal with this strategic goal a few major interventions have been singled out:
* updating and upgrading of the workshops especially by acquiring advanced technological machinery;
* effective links between students, instructors and technicians of companies through technical seminars and workshops;
* opportunities for the students to make direct experience of the actual life in a working condition;
* educational tours.For this reason a lot of companies (Pirelli, General Motors, Toyota, Land Rover, ABB and many others) have been involved in the activity of the Institute thus offering effective support through different means (e.g. donations in kind, technical support, seminars & workshops, funds, attachment and employment). Along with the corporate sector, the Institute wishes to thank the German Embassy, the Australian High Commission, the Standard & Chartered Bank, the Swiss NGO AVAID. Through their interventions the students have benefited greately from a relevant improvement in the facilities of the workshops.
The Institute wishes to register special thanks to the Italian Embassy to Kenya. Their oustanding support has been foundamental to the development of the life of the Institute.
